Environmental Policy Statement
Strikebox Engineering are an engineering fabrication company who manufacture and supply high quality steel and plastic mobile storage solutions to the pharmaceutical and bioscience sector.
Strikebox Engineering is committed to operating a business that protects the environment, provides a better
quality of life for our people and community. We will strive to continually improve all our business operations, reducing the impact on the local and global environment, meeting all regulatory requirements, and to procure resources that are less harmful to the environment, and protects our natural resources.
We will do this by:
- Achieving a targeted reduction in our environmental aspects and impacts, through the implementation of this policy, waste and resource conservation programme
- Reducing the energy we use and using green energy sources
- Reducing water used in our process, and conserving water through rainwater harvesting
- Reducing waste generated by the business, segregating, recycling and repurposing where possible
- Minimising the use of chemicals that are harmful to the environment and human health, and to store and use them in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Manufacturing product that is durable and reusable
- Sourcing locally and sustainably
- Reducing the packaging used and packaging waste, and moving to more sustainable options that are recyclable and compostable
- Working with suppliers that operate in an environmentally friendly manner, and conform with the goals of this policy
- Manage our carbon footprint and use this as the key measure of our sustainability strategy and climate change action.
As part of Strikebox Engineering’s sustainability strategy, an Environmental Management System meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 has been implemented and fully integrated with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Through the IMS we will set annual goals for improving our environmental and sustainability performance and will monitor this using a dedicated suite of environmental metrics.
Our goal is to achieve carbon neutral status by 2030 and carbon zero status by 2050, in line with government targets and climate change imperatives.
We will review the Strikebox Environmental Management system bi-annually to ensure our sustainability improvements programme is being progressed and environmental objectives achieved.
